Donor Treatments

At iTrust fertility clinics we offer treatments for patients who come to us for treatment using either donor eggs, embryo’s or sperm to conceive. We understand that having treatment using donation cycles can be an emotional process, and we wish to support you every step of the way. We offer our patients an hour-long consultation with our clinical team to arrange the donation and so that you can ask any questions and the treatment process including the legal consents and counselling services to support you.

There are a number of reasons why someone may opt for donor egg or sperm treatment, for example –  the ovaries (or testes) do not produce enough eggs (or sperm), the eggs (or sperm) are not of high enough quality to have a realistic change of pregnancy, there is a high risk of an inherited disease being passed on, or simply because you are a same-sex couple or a single woman. Whatever the reason is, it is not an easy choice, we at iTrust are here to help you in this journey.

This can be a more complex process for the right donor, the emotional implications of not having your genetic child, what to tell them once they are born, and the potential of the child wanting to find its donor or half-siblings when they turn 18.

That is why we are here to guide you every step of the way; from choosing the appropriate donor programme, to helping with selecting the appropriate donor eggs or sperm, to getting you started on the right treatment – and to simply being here to listen.

Treatment Options available at ITrust Fertility:

IVF treatment with donor eggs

Using donor eggs is a form of IVF treatment used by women who are unable to use their own eggs to have a baby. The woman donating her eggs is known as the donor and the woman who receives the fertilized eggs (embryos) is known as the recipient. At iTrust fertility clinics we will have information on the hair, eye and skin colour and occupation of all our egg donors, and will help you.

Egg donation is most suitable for women who are unable to use their own eggs to have a child for a variety of reasons, you can have treatment with a known donor at iTrust Fertility Clinics.

Using donor sperm to have a baby

At iTrust fertility clinics we offer a range of treatment options to patients using donor sperm. This usually involves either donor sperm insemination – IUI or IVF with donor sperm.

We would suggest that those using donor sperm have ICSI as part of their treatment.

At iTrust fertility clinics, we can offer you access to traceable and health-screened UK sperm donors from our own sperm donor bank. During your treatment, you are supported by our caring and experienced team every step of the way, from choosing your sperm donor to pregnancy test.
