Fertility Check Up
Our fertility test is perfect for patients who wish to check their current fertility
This unique service allows you to visit our fertility centre and get a clearer picture of your current fertility and what your potential future fertility may look like.
A Fertility MOT is a series of tests that will help you to understand your fertility and ability to conceive. We have three tests to choose from for women, men, and couples.
Male Fertility MOT / Test
A male fertility test will help you to understand your fertility status with the results from your semen analysis. Common causes of male infertility are associated with sperm abnormalities, the initial investigations for the male includes semen analysis which examines the density (sperm count), morphology (shape), mobility of sperm and whether or not there are any infections or anti-sperm bodies present.
What to expect?
You will be asked to attend the centre to provide a semen sample; the analysis takes place immediately after production. Prior to your appointment, you must ensure to abstain from any form of sexual activity for three days (72 hours) so we obtain the best possible sample from you. The appointment will last no longer than 30 minutes. In some cases, it is possible for you to produce a sample at home, however, you will be given instructions.
When the results of your semen analysis are ready, you can discuss them with a fertility specialist. The specialist will also discuss your medical history and lifestyle and advise you on your fertility and any changes you may need to make to maximise your fertility potential.
